Help Valley Families in Need This Christmas with Rewind 89.3’s
Santa’s Little Helpers!

The holiday season is an exciting and joyous time for many families, with children giddy with anticipation for what they might find underneath the Christmas tree. Sadly, for many families in the Valley, Christmas looks very different. The holiday season can be especially difficult for those who struggle, with your support Santa’s Little Helpers will bring warmth, joy, and smiles to Valley families in need.

For several years Kids Action Program has partnered with our local radio station, Rewind 89.3, local businesses and the community to help and support Kids Action Program families during the holiday season. You can help by donating to Rewind 89.3’s Santa’s Little Helpers.

WHAT TO DONATE

Wondering what would make a great gift for underneath the Christmas tree this holiday season? We have the following suggestions:

  • Toys and clothing for children ages 0 and up.
  • Items For Teenagers. This age group is often overlooked during the holiday season, items can include; personal care items, arts and crafts activities and games.
  • Gift cards and cash donations are safe and easy to donate and allows for the freedom of choice.

All donations made to Kids Action Program and Santa’s Little Helpers are greatly appreciated!

SUPPORTERS OF SANTA’S LITTLE HELPERS 2025

MacKay Real Estate, Wolfville

MacKay Real Estate agents, staff and business partners participated in a Christmas Shopping Party at Giant Tiger on November 30th. Items purchased were donated to the Kids Action Program through Santa’s Little Helpers.

Giant Tiger, New Minas

On November 30th, the Rewind Cruiser was parked outside of Giant Tiger to accept donations and hosted MacKay Real Estate’s Christmas Shopping Party.

The 10th Annual Jacob Stern Memorial Toy Drive

The Jacob Stern Memorial Toy Drive honors 4 year old Jacob Stern who passed away from Rhabdomyosarcoma. The toy drive gives back to the community that supported Jacob and his family during their difficult times.

Windsor Oxen Toy Collection Game

Rewind 89.3 and the Windsor Oxen teamed up at the East Hants Sport Complex to watch the Oxen take on Pictou County Scotians and donate new and unwrapped toys to the Santa’s Little Helpers Toy Drive.

Martell Mechanical, New Minas

A new sponsor joined the Santa’s Little Helper Campaign in 2025! Martell Mechanical helped 89.3 Rewind and Kids Action Program transport toys and donations across the Valley. They also provided the float used during the New Minas Parade of Lights.

The Boutique Beauty Emporium & Day Spa, New Minas

The boutique accepted monetary donations at their spa.

Callister’s Country Kitchen, Coldbrook

Callister’s Country Kitchen accepted monetary donations at their location in Coldbrook.

Novus Glass, Coldbrook

Novus Glass donated $5 from every windshield wiper replacement that happened between November 12th to December 4th to Santa’s Little Helpers.

Elite Auto, Coldbrook

Elite Auto donated $5 from every oil change between November 12th and December 4th to Santa’s Little Helpers.

The Old Orchard Inn

The Old Orchard Inn accepted monetary donations.

Valley Pharmasave Stores, Kingston and Middleton

Pharmasave Stores in Kingston and Middleton had donation boxes for gift card and monetary donations.
